Harpenden student wins the National Cross Country Championships

Student James McMurray has not only won the National Cross Country Championships in Leeds but he has also just taken the title at the UK Inter Counties Cross Country Championships that were held at Cofton Park in Birmingham at the weekend.

The Sir John Lawes student has a string of successes under his belt including the Southern Championships which he has won on two occasions and he is also the County Champion.

Speaking of his previous win in Leeds James said “I was quite surprised when I won the National Championship because track is my main event and there are so many talented cross country runners out there”.
