What a disappointing meal at Harpenden's Prezzo!

The standard of service and food at Harpenden's Prezzo has really gone down hill. Went on Sunday with friends and had a terrible meal; it started with the calamari which looked like the end of a bag as was all little off cuts and was overcooked in old oil. We returned it and the fresh one was only marginally better but it had horrible black parts and when questioned the waitress said that it was normal (I have never seen it before) and they came in frozen bags which were welcome to see! The mains were much better- a burger, sandwich and lighter flat bread pizza. And the cheescakes were good, but the panacotta was solid and had no wobble at all- when we told the waitress she just smiled and didn't even acknowledge what had been said! Another problem was the lack of service, being in a small room meant that we were somewhat ignored. And finally the toilets smelt and 2 out of 3 didn't flush!! So all in all we wouldn't go back and certainly wouldn't recommend it to a friend!
