Harpenden's engineer is a great pub which serves tasty food and has a good atmosphere. They have a nice outside area and can ctaer for private functions in the conservatory. If you like a good pub quiz they hold a weekly one...good for a laugh!

the engineer is up there with one of the best all round pubs in harpenden. the food that is served from both the bar and the restaurant is good, tasty and reasonably priced. there is also a small outside beer garden which is a nice option for the summer.
the conservatory offers somewhere nice to sit and eat and there is an alright selection of beers. if you are looking for proper ales then head somewhere else. overall, a decent place to go.By tomspalmer at 05:20 on 30/04/10
