Appalling service, rude waiters, mediocre food. Have had red wine spilled over my guest, had to wait ages for a waiter, only to be told they were on their break ! and had other things to do. Could do with a good lesson in how to deal with the public.

The slug and lettuce harpenden is okay, but there are better places in Town!

Harpenden's Slug and Lettuce varies- the service can be slow (and infuriating as they won't always let you order at the bar) and the food is hit and miss. But when they get it right it is really good with a varied menu and good atmosphere. Another plus point is that it is child friendly til 6 O'Clock.

for a chain restaurant this place is great. great location in the centre of the town means it is a brilliant place to stop for a quick pint and some wedges to brea up the days shopping.

Family Friendly Bar

Good location and lives up to expectations for a High Street Chain Bar. Surprisingly family friendly, with a good range of inexpensive children's meals and not everything comes with chips! A good place to sit and observe Harpenden life, especially if you are lucky enough to get an outside table in warm weather.

good all rounder

Been here a few times with the other half, the kids and for our 20th anniversary do, where they did us proud with a really good selection of food. The atmosphere was great: all in all a memorable evening.
