    A busy route for Harpenden road users is to be resurfaced. Work on the Harpenden Road (A1081), the main road in to St Albans is due to start at 8pm on Wednesday 8 September. Whilst the works to repair, resurface and repaint the carriageway take place over three consecutive nights, weather permitting, a diversion route will be in place between 8pm and 6am.
