Your help is required with planning for the Royal Wedding. No, Kate isn’t looking for a random bridesmaid, and the stag do is probably all but sorted, but Niki, the landlady at The Old Cock Inn, could use some ideas on how the people of Harpenden would like to join in the celebrations on the big day.

The Old Cock Inn is well known in Harpenden for putting on a bit of a show; those of you who were lucky enough to attend the recent Elvis tribute night at the pub will know that all too well! Niki and her staff want to do everything within their power to make sure that locals have a fantastic day on 29 April, and are, therefore, looking for ideas, which will make this a day to remember.

Big screens, dress to impress, wear a hat, a red, white and blue theme, a garden party, crowns and tiaras, regal-themed karaoke…what can you suggest? If you’re not going to be lining the streets near Westminster Abbey and are planning on staying in Harpenden, how would you like to celebrate?
