My trip to the Discovery Centre, Stockwood Park

On Saturday, armed with 2 my kids (7 and 2) and my wife safely tucked up on an art course, we headed north to Luton and the Discovery Centre. Always on the look out for things to do when "I am in charge" I had heard about this place through friends and the feedback had been very good. The Discovery Centre is part of Stockwood Park, and it is a great open space, with Golf club, Riding School etc. I guess one of the attraction of the Discovery Centre is the cost. It is Free. However, even if they charged an entrance fee, you would still go. A great place for the kids as my 2 year old could run round, while my 7 year old tackled the climbing frame. The gardens are amazing and when it is time for a rest, they have a great place for a sit down. The large sofas in the restaurant, were very nice.

On the way out through the shop, we picked up a couple of plants and we will be back for when they start selling fruit and veg from their very own patches.
Also, as we were leaving we noticed that during the summer, they are having a few outdoor concerts. Might be worth checking out.
