Why so many children and so few school places, at our local schools, there appears to be 5% more children in Harpenden looking for a school place than the council had anticipated. Where did they get their figures from? Yes another mother who did not get one of their 3 ranked PRIMARY schools, only a few more hours to go until the first round of continue interest.

Let us know how you get on with the continuing interest. Good luck with that - it must be really stressful, not to mention time consuming. What schools are you trying to get a place in and which school have you been offered? Are there other parents reading this who are facing the same predicament?

There are currently 33 people on the continuing interest at Roundwood and 36 on the list for Wood End, unfortunately on speaking to the Admissions Team it does not matter where you are currently ranked on the list this position can change in either direction at any time. I urge anyone who has accepted a private school place that has not yet turned down one of their allocated school places to do so as soon as possible to prevent the stress of parents who are still waiting. The next round of continued interest is due on 14th June. Many Thanks.
It appears that people on the North West of Harpenden have been offered the Lea and those on the South West have been offered Sauncey Wood, promoting children to walk to school and aleviate congestion - I don't think so!
