Improvements to 5-a-side football facilities in Harpenden's Rothamsted Park are nearly complete

The work to improve Rothamsted Park's football pitch began in October; the pitch has previously been mainly used for 5-a-side football.
The 5-a-side football pitch is being converted into a multi-use games area (MUGA) with a "third generation" synthetic grass surface, two goals and fencing around the perimeter. Cllr Mike Wakely, Portfolio Holder for Sports, Leisure and Heritage commented: "This continues one of our core strategies to enhance the provision of youth sport facilities around the district but all ages are very welcome!"
Upon completion, which will be around the end of November, schools and community groups will be able to book sessions free of charge during the following times:

Mon – Fri: 9am to 3.30pm
Sat – Sun: 2pm to 5pm
