Proposals to improve Harpenden - Vote Now!
By cgillies | Thursday, April 07, 2011, 10:22
The Town Council asked local residents, community groups and businesses to put forward proposals to improve Harpenden; they received 115 projects which have been shortlisted to 37. The projects are varied ranging from play equipment for children to support for senior citizens; some are for specific groups of people, whereas others would benefit the wider community – it really is an extensive list which is very hard to whittle down; they are all worthy of supporting. The final decision of how the money is to be spent is in the hands’ of the local community; each household can vote for 4 projects, prioritising them from 1st – 4th position. The most popular initiatives, up to the value of £26,000, will be awarded the funding- make sure your voice is heard and register your vote by 5pm on Monday April 11th.
