At the end of January Harpenden's Hurst Children's Theatre Group is putting on a performance of 'Jack at the Beanstalk' at the Harpenden Public Halls'.  As always the script has been written by Mike Hurst, the acclaimed master of cringe worthy jokes and unlikely song-cue lines!  'Jack and the Beanstalk', marks Hursts annual return to tread the Public Hall's boards.

This year the under sevens will be playing 'The Little Beanies' and will no doubt be dazzled by the lights, forget their words, be dead chuffed with their costumes and, of course, be absolutely marvelous.  The remainder of the company (from seven to eighteen…250 of them in total), are energetic and bubbly local children, who will keep the show rip-roaring along with good old Broadway song numbers like 'Out of Town' and 'Tiny seed of love'; there are also modern songs, dances, and general tom-foolery.

The cast includes 'Grim', the evil manservant to the double-headed Giant Twoface, idiot bailiffs, Simple Simon (who needs a little more chlorine in his gene pool!), Fairy Liquid and a Ghost!

So if you want to see thighs slapped and participate in sing-alongs, you had  better practice your "Behind you" shout and make a date in your diary for the HCTG's Pantomime- 'Jack and the Beanstalk.'

Performances are on January 25th at 5pm, Thursday 26th January at 6pm, Friday 27th January at 7pm and Saturday 28th January at 2pm and 7pm.

Tickets are £8 and £6.
