Harpenden Public Halls New Manager

With a new Manager leading the way Harpenden Public Halls is set to have one of its best years in recent times. Glenn Povey is heading up the team as the new General Manger with a vast knowledge of the music industry and a great knowledge of theatre, and it's surely proven given some of the big names such as John Cooper Clarke Thursday 1st May, Thea Gilmore Thursday 5th June, Wishbone Ash Thursday 30th October and many more set to grace Harpenden's stage in the next 12months.

Of course Harpenden Public Halls is used for many other events such as the twice annual productions from Harpenden's light Operatic Society and the yearly Gang Show, all the way to some of the community's smaller events such as regular society meetings, local youth theatre productions and dance classes. Having two members with a close connection to Harpenden is a given bonus Sam Coot Deputy Theatre Manager & Trudy Lamb Duty Manager both born and bred Harpenden locals bring an excellent knowledge of the surrounding areas and some what personal touch to the building. Tom Weaver Duty Manager born bred in St Albans gives an extra touch to the vast diverse knowledge in the building with his helping hand to the widely historical city St Albans just up the road on the door step.

The venue itself is available for private hire and able to host pretty much any function you can think of. Keep an eye out for some more wonderful events to come this year and i am sure you will agree with the team at hand Harpenden Public Halls is set to bring some wonderful events to the community this coming year.
